[Telemedicine Moves Toward Full Implementation as Digital Health Rules Take Shape]
Telemedicine will be formally institutionalized in South Korea this December. Ahead of its implementation, the regulatory framework for digital health is beginning to take clearer shape.
Detailed rules on patient eligibility, prescribing, and medicine delivery are expected to be developed as discussions progress, while broader legislative discussions are also underway on health data use, electronic medical record (EMR) standardization, and other areas of digital health.
